  <h2>About rss-kakapo</h2>
  <p>
    This is the browser home of rss-kakapo on {{ .Host }}, a Fediverse service that lets you turn Mastodon into
    your feed reader. It follows the RSS or Atom feeds of websites, and sends out a toot whenever a new post
    is published on one of them.
  </p>
  <p>
    Every feed has a dedicated account. If you follow that account, you'll receive a toot in your timeline whenever
    a new post shows up in the feed.
  </p>
  {{- if .Restricted }}
  <p>
    This instance is run for a small circle of people: only accounts on its allowlist may ask {{ .Birb }} for new
    feeds. Anyone may follow the feeds that already exist.
  </p>

  <h3>Contact</h3>
  <p>
    Got questions, or want a feed removed? Contact the operator of {{ .Host }}.
  </p>
  <p>
    <u>Do not</u> toot at any of the feed accounts or {{ .Birb }} directly. These are all automated
    accounts and no human is monitoring their mentions.
  </p>
  <h3>Origins</h3>
  <p>
    rss-kakapo is a fork of <a href="https://codeberg.org/gugray/rss-parrot">RSS Parrot</a> by Gabor L Ugray,
    which runs the public instance at <a href="https://rss-parrot.net">rss-parrot.net</a>. Problems with this
    instance are not problems of RSS Parrot; please don't report them upstream.
    The fork's source is at <a href="https://sources.profpatsch.de/rss-kakapo/">sources.profpatsch.de/rss-kakapo</a>.
